Buzz for Life: Vector Illustrations Spotlighting Intricate Insects
The insect extinction crisis sparked a vector illustration project revealing their beauty and vital role in our ecosystem.
These vector illustrations are a homage to some of nature's most intriguing inhabitants: bugs. Worried about the predictions of insect extinction, I embarked on a mission to spotlight these often misunderstood creatures by creating illustrations inspired by their astonishing shapes, patterns, and hues. They are an invisible force that sustains life.
However, when I started working on this topic, I couldn't stop thinking about skulls. Yet, in my hands, the symbol of death was bright and colourful. I believe we can shape our future. My artwork serves as a beacon of awareness, urging viewers to recognize the pivotal role of insects in maintaining our delicate ecosystem.
As seen in: Deko Magazine, MY O MY Home Boutique, Klaus K Hotel, and Luonnos Gallery in Helsinki, SHIFT Business Festival in Turku
These illustrations command attention with their striking colours, compositions, fine details, and profound message. The artwork was exhibited in hotels, boutiques, and galleries serving as a talking point, and therefore appealing to collectors, too.
Looking ahead, I see endless possibilities for the further development of these vector illustrations. With their bold patterns and striking imagery, they are perfect candidates for expansion into textile designs, wallpaper patterns, and brand assets.
Long live the bugs!
